Live Webinars & Events Calendar — Never Miss a DAAD or Chevening Session Again

If you have applied for an international scholarship in the last two years, you have almost certainly missed at least one free info session that would have answered the exact question costing you sleep at 2 AM.

DAAD runs free webinars walking through every requirement of their scholarship — with a Q&A at the end where Selection Committee members answer questions live. Chevening hosts country-specific application clinics. Fulbright does panel sessions with current scholars. MEXT (Japan), Eiffel (France), Holland Scholarship (Netherlands), Erasmus Mundus (EU) — all of them publish free, high-quality content multiple times per cycle.

The problem is not the content. The problem is discovery.

These sessions are scattered across 30 different organisation websites, university calendars, mailing lists you would have to subscribe to one by one, and occasional LinkedIn posts that disappear into the feed within hours. By the time you find one, it has happened.

[/events](/events) fixes that with one curated weekly calendar.

What is in the calendar

Four categories, all in one feed:

Scholarships

DAAD Master and PhD info sessions, Chevening application tips with selection panel members, Fulbright country Q&As, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master walkthroughs, Holland Scholarship eligibility briefings, MEXT embassy-recommendation explainers, Eiffel pre-deadline clinics.

Universities

Virtual open days from TUM, ETH Zürich, Oxford, Imperial, Karolinska, UCL, Wageningen and others. PhD admission Q&As — usually with the actual admission coordinators, which is far more useful than reading an FAQ page.

Visa

German student visa step-by-step (blocked account, APS, embassy slots), UK CAS process, Canadian study permit clinics, Schengen short-stay for research visits.

Career

Mock interview bootcamps, CV clinics, LinkedIn optimisation workshops, industry transition Q&As.

How the filters work

  • Category — Scholarship, University, Visa, Career.
  • Type — Webinar, Info session, Open day, Workshop.
  • Free only toggle — most external sessions are free; a handful of in-house bootcamps are paid (and clearly marked).
  • Language — every event card shows the spoken language (EN, EN/AR, EN/DE, etc.).
Events are sorted by date with a chunky day-tile on the left so you can scan a week at a glance.

Why a curated list beats Google

Searching "DAAD info session 2026" gets you last year's page, a broken Zoom link, and a Reddit thread from 2019. We manually review every entry: confirmed date, valid registration link, accurate language and duration, real organising body.

When something is cancelled or moved, we update the list within 24 hours. When a new high-value session is announced, we add it the same day.

Suggested rhythm

If you are mid-application, this is what we recommend:

  • Once a week — open [/events](/events), filter to the country / scholarship you are targeting, and pre-register for anything in the next 30 days. Most webinars send a recording even if you cannot attend live.
  • Two weeks before any deadline — attend the closest matching application-tips session. Even if you have read every requirement, hearing it explained changes how you write the essay.
  • The month before you arrive on campus — virtual open day for your university. You will meet other admits and the housing question stops being terrifying.
